6 Types Of Perfumes You Can Try

Christian Dior noted well that a woman’s perfume tells more about her than her handwriting. Ever since the society became sophisticated, perfumes have been around. Based on their concentration, perfumes are broadly assorted into three types in the descending order of concentration. Eau de Parfum or EDP is the perfume as we commonly know it. It has a long lasting fragrance owing to the presence of 7-15% of concentrate. Then is the Eau de Toilette or EDT which has only 1-6% of concentrate and the third one is Eau de Cologne or EDC, which is more or less like EDT. What attracts us towards a perfume is its fragrance, naturally. It is essentially the thing that makes a perfume what it is. According to fragrance, listed here are the different types of perfumes.

1. Floral: The name says it all. Floral perfumes are created from a variety of flowers – from roses to the sweet smelling ylang ylang. Feminine and with a soft smell, these perfumes are often a blend of different flower scents, a motley of fragrances. They are best worn on a romantic evening or to a garden party. Some of the best known floral perfumes you can try are Romance by Ralph Lauren, Gucci Rush or the Tuberose Gardenia by Estee Lauder.

2. Citrus: Citrus perfumes contain extracts educed from lime, orange and other fruits belonging to the same family. Citrusy perfumes make us feel fresh and uplifted during the day, hence they are best suited for daily routine or a light-hearted get together. Light Blue by D&G, Green Tea by Elizabeth Ardene and Fire Me Up by Avon are a few suggestions for citrus perfumes to adorn your wardrobe.

3. Oriental: The best way to imagine an oriental perfume is to combine spices, sensuality and extreme feminism. They are warm fragrances with notes of musk or amber, blended with exotic flowers and woods. The product is an audacious perfume that speaks of you as a bold and adventurous soul. Best time to wear this kind of fragrance would be a winter evening out for drinks or movie. Some best examples would be Chaos by Donna Karan or Perceive by Avon.

4. Chypre or Woody: A blend that is earthy woody and mossy, this kind was developed by French perfumer, Francois Coty, inspired by the island of Cyprus. Bergamot, oak moss and barks of exotic trees are used to create this fragrance nowadays. If you are the earthy type, you can start by trying the original Chypre by Coty or perhaps Flair by Revlon.

5. Oceanic: One of the recent developments, this type of perfumes have artificial compounds developed to resemble fragrances that are associated with fresh and natural things like the cool sea breeze or fresh linen. Dune by Christian Dior was how it started and today Sunflower by Elizabeth Ardene and Cool Water by Davidoff are also some best appreciated oceanic perfumes.

6. Green: Think of fresh green leaves after a rainfall and you have the green fragrance. With a self explanatory name, Safari by Ralph Lauren would be the perfect choice for a green, fresh fragrance.

Trust me you couldn't smell better..XOXO! with love D@fy...
